Full job description

This exciting role will report into the Group Financial Controller and will be 3 days in their Uxbridge office. This will be a hands on role where you will be liaising with the wider internal finance team.

As Group Reporting Accountant, you will work with the Group Financial Controller, support the Chief Financial Officer as well as key UK stakeholders to ensure that the Group’s statutory reporting for shareholders and for the UK Stock Exchange are prepared to the highest standards and within the Group’s reporting guidelines, policies and deadlines. You will also be responsible for Head Office accounting, other external reporting and assist with taxation and audit matters.

Group Reporting Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the completion of external announcements and annual/interim reports to meet the UK regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group: Board, senior management and divisional finance teams in accordance with IFRS & UK GAAP
  • Prepare UK statutory accounts including dormant companies
  • Manage communications and liaison on behalf of the Group with external auditors and advisors
  • Lead the Group consolidation processes including the consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and the support accounting policies and notes to the financial statements
  • Support Finance teams based in other UK sites through the year end processes
  • Draft, redraft communication and manage the implementation of accounting policies within the new Group’s Financial Reporting Manual, procedures and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting
  • Responsible for the monthly management accounts and budget for the Head Office
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller in taxation and audit matters
  • Prepare external reports for other governmental agencies such as the ONS surveys

Ideal Group Reporting Accountant:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Ideally 2 years of PQE, preferably with an audit background
  • Preparing consolidated financial statements for listed companies
  • Experience of multi-national group consolidation under IFRS
  • Working technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in managing audit processes within a listed business
