Your new company is a large specialist ground works and infrastructure subcontractor that has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defence to deliver enabling works and infrastructure improvements to army barracks at Deepcut in Surrey. The contract is to make good the roads, drainage, kerbs, tarmacking, underground services,Ducts and enabling works as well as decommissioning the existing services. They are two years into a four-year project and are working across four to five separate contracts.
Your new role is to support the project manager with administering the project processes by interfacing between the site office and the site activities. Your tasks are to process allocation sheets, safety paperwork, liaising with operatives on site, taking information off the site team and passing the data to the QS. You will use Easy Bob (App) to load up forms, photos and upload them on the site’s PC and update the daily diaries. The working hours are 07:30-17:30.
What you’ll need to succeed is previous experience in a similar role as an Assistant Site Manager or Junior Site Engineer with a relevant construction qualification such as a SSSTS, SMSTS, HNC, HND or Bsc plus a CSCS Card. Knowledge of groundwork and civil engineering would be an advantage.
