Job description – Junior Accountant
This impressive Asset Management firm are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their expert team. You will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow forecasting, financial management, VAT filing, confirmation statement filing, and assisting with statutory account preparation and audit for our portfolio companies, and Investment Funds.

Key responsibilities – Junior Accountant
In this Junior Accounting job, your responsibilities will include:
Assist in day-to-day management accounting operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to aid in decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Manage relationships and interactions with third-party vendors, suppliers, and clients.
Utilize Xero software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Assist in filing of VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
Assist with the preparation and filing of confirmation statements.
Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with auditors during the audit process.
Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
Job requirements – Junior Accountant
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in day-to-day management accounting
Studying towards accounting qualifications (ideally ACCA)
Proficiency in using Xero software is highly desirable
Familiarity with VAT filing, confirmation statement filing, and statutory account preparation
Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude; confident working independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with colleagues and external parties
You must have the right to work in the UK

A competitive starting salary of £30,000 – £32,000 depending on experience level
