Who is The Silver X Group

The Silver X Group was formed in 2013 by our MD Gavin Burgess.

We are a leading Logistics group based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. From the bedroom of our founder to a company that can boast an 8-figure turnover and currently operates over 3 locations, soon to be 5 by the end of 2025, 130,000ft2 of warehousing space, and has an operator license for 120 HGV vehicles across two companies.

What does a typical day include?

Gathering & analysing data from across our businesses on multiple data platforms, preparation of our weekly P&L pack to a deadline, you will need to analyse all elements from changes in depreciation and headcount, to analysing cost Invs and making accurate accruals & prepayments by working with our AP & AR teams to give our senior management team focused information about performance of the business in real time.

What you need?

You will need a calm approach but the ability to change direction at pace. You must have strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with multiple people at all levels, therefore you must be comfortable with building effective relationships from scratch.

Previous Management Accounts experience is essential

You must have a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the business needs

You must be highly organised with excellent communication skills

You must have an excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills

You must be highly IT literate

Purpose of the role?

Contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Gathering and analysis of all financial data.

· Support budget creation and monitoring.

· Oversee accounting procedures.

· Risk analysis and management.

· Assume responsibility for cost accounting tasks.

· Evaluate and report company performance data to the senior team.

· Prepare financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets on a weekly basis.

· Compliance.

· Cost Management.

· Any other reasonable duties as required.
