Page Personnel are currently recruiting for a established Logistics & FMCG organisation in Huddersfield. The reputable business have a brand new opportunity available for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their experienced finance team and report directly into the Financial Controller. This position offers ACCA/CIMA study support, progression and is salaried up to £32,000. Commutable from the likes of Halifax, Elland, Bradford and Dewsbury.

Job Description

As Assistant Management Accountant reporting into the Financial Controller, this position will be supporting with the preparation of the management accounts with key duties such as balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, fixed asset, journal postings and prepayments etc.

Alongside this will be business partnering with the wider organisation such as stakeholders in the logistics and sales departments, as well as liaising with external auditors for example.

There will also be commercial opportunities with the role, supporting with business improvement and consulting to improving efficiency on any existing processes.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally either AAT, ACCA or CIMA Part qualified. Open to anyone qualified by experience.

Have experience of supporting management accounts whether that be balance sheet recs, accruals, prepayments, journal postings, PNL, Variance analysis etc.

Confident with excel – vlookups & pivot tables.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Eye for detail.

Would like to progress as the company expands.

Happy to work on site 4 days a week.
