An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced accountant to lead and manage the upgrade of the financial management system for Chesterfield Borough Council.

As a CCAB/ CIMA qualified accountant with the drive for continuous organisational improvement you will play a key role in developing the strategy and improvement plans to deliver high quality financial reporting and enable ongoing system development and robust financial control.

This is a new and challenging role; we are looking for candidates with significant experience in the public sector finance environment at a senior level. You will also have experience in taking the strategic and operational lead for the development of finance systems and have a good understanding of business needs and accounting requirements.
