As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a highly experienced and talented General Manager to manage and develop all aspects of our factory’s operations and financial performance.

Position Overview: As the General Manager of our factory, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimising the factory’s operations while ensuring its financial health. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing efficient manufacturing processes, driving profitability, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall factory efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee all production processes, including scheduling, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage and optimise resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to drive operational excellence.

2. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the factory’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Take full control of the stock ensuring it is accurately reported and managed effectively.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities to increase profitability.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to prepare accurate financial reports.

3. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of department heads and staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Address employee concerns and maintain a positive work environment.

4. Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with senior management to develop and execute factory-specific strategic plans.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks.
  • Lead initiatives to expand product lines, increase market share, and diversify revenue streams.

5. Customer and Vendor Relations:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimise supplier relationships and manage costs effectively.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure the factory adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Lead efforts to maintain necessary certifications and licenses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.
