The Senior Client Manager will ensure the delivery of client assignments within agreed timescales and in accordance with Firm procedures for an allocated client portfolio. Assist in managing client expectations and service in conjunction with the Partner.

The Senior Client Manager job role includes but not limited to:

Management of allocated client portfolio

  • Ensure reporting deadlines are monitored and met, advising clients accordingly
  • Liaise with the Client Co-ordinator, ensuring staff resource is effectively planned and utilised
  • Review initial planning, agreeing the work to be undertaken and the timetable of activity in conjunction with th Partner
  • Review working papers files and/or associated financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and Firm procedures
  • Where appropriate attend client meetings with the Partner to finalise the assignment
  • Ensure that files are completed and signed off in accordance with Firm procedures
  • Facilitate appropriate diary enteries of allocated assignments to allow final Partner signature
  • Complete fee invoices in line with service plan

Review and finalisation of VAT, tax computations and associated tax returns

  • Review completed VAT and tax computations for the entity, ensuring any adjustments required are documented and fed back
  • Review final computations and associated returns for client approval
  • Ensure approved returns are passed to the appropriate staff member for submission and client registers updated

Management of service delivery unit employees

  • Complete and deliver assignment appraisals to provide feedback, facilitating coaching to maximise performance
  • Actively contribute to staff performance process, providing feedback in line with personal objectives to maximise capability and identifying talent

You will have:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience of using compliance software and knowledge of accounting systems
