Title: Junior Tax Accountant

Location: UK (hybrid)

Position: FTC (12 months initial, view to permanent contract)

Petlab’s 8-person Finance team is looking to add a new member to the pack, initially to cover for one colleague’s maternity leave but with a view to a permanent hire. The Finance team is one of the happiest team’s at Petlab, with a healthy mix of experienced managers and enthusiastic juniors, of in-office regulars and remote-based workers. The team has seen Petlab grow from a genuine start-up to a multi-national business, now present in four different countries.

Your day to day will look a little bit like this…

Working with the current Tax manager (going on leave in March 24)

Filings VAT/GST/Sales Tax returns in multiple jurisdictions

Reconciling tax liabilities with the Accounts Supervisor and Financial Controller

Working on Corporate Tax returns with the CFO

Taking full responsibility of the tax department by March 24

Requirements

What You Need…

Organisation skills (tax deadlines cannot be missed)

Strong communication skills (the role involves working closely in a team of 8)

Familiarity with VAT/GST/Sales Tax filings (incl. overseas jurisdictions: UK/Canada/USA/NL/UAE)

A keen eye for detail

Must be organised and have the ability to prioritize

Self-motivated and a team player

Keenness to drive efficiencies

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Experience in NetSuite will be beneficial
