Personal Tax Assistant Manager

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be partner with this ambitious top 100 firm of accountants based in the City of London that are eager to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious personal tax manager to join their OMB tax team.

The firm is led by an ambitious partner group who have demonstrated that rapid career growth is achievable for high performers. The firm as a whole has approximately 70 staff and the tax team is currently 11 members strong and growing rapidly.

The firm are looking for a personal tax assistant manager to complement their existing tax team and partner group to support on a growing amount of advisory work. This is seen as a key hire in the team and the role will offer a varied range of advisory obligations. You will have your own portfolio of around 100-150 clients as well as some oversight of the personal tax compliance function. This is very much a client facing role so strong communication and client relationship skills is a must. This role offers progression for the right candidate.

Role Requirements –

Working on individual clients including entrepreneurs, city financiers, landed wealth and those with international tax issues.

Review complex Returns.

Project management from start to finish on advisory work.

Working directly with partners on their personal clients and liaising with other teams to deliver results.

Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.

Technical research to provide possible solutions to complex tax issues.

Working with senior members of the team to promote the tax team internally and externally.

Seeking planning opportunities within the current client base.

Management of WIP, billing and debtors across the team.

Personal Requirements –

CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 1 years’ PQE experience in a similar senior personal tax client facing role.

Experience of managing or supervising a team is highly advantageous.
