Everest Insurance (Ireland), DAC is a specialty Insurance company based in Dublin, which writes a variety of specialty insurance risks across Europe (through several branches Europe), North American and Asian markets. Everest Syndicate 2786 is a multi-line Lloyd’s syndicate managed by a third-party managing agency and is fully capitalised by Everest Reinsurance. The Everest International Insurance Finance & Actuarial team provides high-profile services across Europe serving key stakeholders across Everest international Insurance and the wider Everest group.
Summary
The Finance function at Everest is expanding to build a stable foundation to support significant growth of the business. Reporting to the Finance and Actuarial Portfolio Lead – International, the Finance Operations Change Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing key financial data, processes and controls initiatives to improve the quality and accuracy of both internal and external financial reporting and the efficiency of accounting processes. The individual will apply knowledge of best practice financial processes to support a scalable financial infrastructure. The individual will work closely with the Head of Finance Integration and the Finance and Actuarial Portfolio Lead to drive and support the implementation of key finance change initiatives in International. The candidate will have a key role in supporting the implementation of Group and Division led projects to create a common framework across the company. Proven experience within a financial accounting and reporting team with experience in financial closing at a mid to large company as well as strong change management experience is strongly preferred.
This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.
Key responsibilities:
Work with Head of Finance Integration and Finance and Actuarial Portfolio Lead to review and prioritise the portfolio of change, in line with agreed vision
Support implementation of Group and Division led initiatives in International, e.g. ERP roll-out, Global Ceded Reinsurance Accounting system roll-out
Lead finance change initiatives to implement strong foundations in terms of data, processes and systems and a platform for growth across International FinOps and Technical Accounting
Continually strive to assess and review all key business processes in finance and identify risk areas to be mitigated and improvement opportunities
Work collaboratively across International and Group/ Division to ensure processes in finance are considered end to end and holistic remediations put in place
Identify enhancements in the day-to-day financial operations, policies and procedures to optimize, streamline and reinforce the robustness the financial closing process
Build and maintain key cross-functional relationships across Everest International that support Finance namely with the Operations and IT teams, and define KPIs
Represent finance in transversal projects to ensure related financial close risks are to be handled and mitigated appropriately and impact on financial processes understood.
Establish process to prioritize and initiate IT change requests and support finance teams in responding to other functions’ change requests, providing coaching, guidance and adhoc support as required
Contribute to the monitoring of the Finance portfolio and implementation to the change agenda
Collaborate with Division, Group and internal audit in relation to Sox implementation for international
Professional Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
Change and project management experience in the Financial Services sector
Understanding of functions pertaining to insurance accounting, closing and financial reporting
Relevant international experience in insurance industry is strongly preferred
Leadership experience with strong interpersonal and team-building skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment.
Excellent PC skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills.
