Job Summary
As our new Management Accountant you will be responsible for the accounting of and accounts preparation for the Group’s businesses. You will ensure comprehensive and accurate records and accounts are maintained and stakeholders are supplied with timely and accurate financial information and supplementary data to support decision making and performance monitoring.
Required Skills Experience
Excellent financial knowledge
University degree, or similar, in a related field or proven practical experience
Excellent IT skills; Windows applications – Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to communicate with people at all levels (internal and external)
Ability to analyse and interpret information
Ability to prioritise
Ability to think strategically, problem solve, exercise good judgement and lead change
Proven ability to work in a dynamic team and build strong working relationships
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts including Bank Rec, Accruals and prepayment journal, Balance Sheet Rec.
Assist Financial Controller with annual accounts for statutory audit
Help stakeholders understand their P&L and other financial data.
Manage day to day queries relating to financial matters.
Prepare Weekly and Monthly OPW Payroll
Provide finance support to business development team in production of tender documentation, financial systems and client liaison.
Participate with the annual budget process.
Provide overall cost control and analysis of the business.
Lead, coach, manage and support Accounts team Leader and Accounts Assistants within the finance team and handle personnel issues.
Maintain the accuracy of the accounts database in accordance with our security policies
Produce and analyse monthly management information to all relevant senior stakeholders.
Produce and analyse any ad hoc reporting requested by the business
Identify areas for profit improvement within Clients accounts.
