Role: IQA Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000
Location: Rotherham
I’m working with one of the UK’s most successful private training providers in their sector, who are now looking to appoint an experienced IQA manager, based at their site in Rotherham, with a requirement to travel to training academies within Yorkshire & East Midlands.
The purpose of the role is to lead on developing and improving effective Teaching and Learning practice. To innovate and enhance the development and delivery to inspire teams to provide excellent teaching and learning and an outstanding experience for all learners.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £40,000 – £42,000

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- To take leadership for strategic overview and implementation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the business
- To support the strategic overview and implementation of quality assurance and quality improvement processes across the pre-employment group
- Internally quality assure qualifications accurately and timely to enable learners to complete within their expected durations
- Monitor and ensure the learner journey records such as ILPs and progress reviews are used effectively by the delivery team. Feedback and development initiated as required
- To drive forward a companywide strategy on continuous improvement for learning with relentless focus on outstanding experiences for our learners and staff
- To work with the quality team on an annual programme of quality audits and spot checks with particular focus on observations of teaching, learning and assessment
- To lead on effective standardisation activities to ensure delivery and assessment methods across provision are consistent
- To implement the teaching, learning and assessment observation policy and produce smart action plans to support improvements
- To conduct observations of Teaching, Learning and assessment including implementation of support to drive outstanding practices
- To work corporately to develop the quality of provision to the highest standard. To ensure areas of weaknesses and or inadequacy, as well as quality improvement are addressed and meet the requirements to be judged at least Good at internal and external inspection
- To develop constructive staff development plans and propose appropriate CPD for teams, including occupational competence utilising information from lesson observations, learner feedback, awarding organisations and other relevant stakeholders
The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering remote and blended training and support
- Demonstrable experience of IQA responsibility
- Demonstrable experience of implementing and improving teaching and learning practice (in a classroom)
- Experience of working with online resource companies to procure and develop resources
- Experience of working within construction trades
- Meet internal and external deadlines on a regular basis
- Work independently with a high level of initiative and motivation
- Excellent, well-developed interpersonal skills
- Highly effective organisational and time management skills
- Experience in supporting unemployed into employment
- Access to a vehicle and a full UK driving license is essential
- Competent computer literacy with all major Microsoft Office packages
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Teaching Qualification (PTTLs, Cert Ed)
- Construction Qualification (at least Level 2 or above)
- Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33, TAQA)
- Verifier qualification (V1 or equivalent)
- English & maths qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
