Job description – Management Accountant

This impressive Asset Management firm are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their expert team.

You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow forecasting, financial management, VAT filing, confirmation statement filing, and statutory account preparation and audit for our portfolio companies, and Investment Funds.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic team with brilliant opportunities for growth and development. You will primarily work across one managed client account in the Sports industry.

Key responsibilities – Management Accountant

In this Part-Qualified Accountant role, your responsibilities will include:

Working across a key managed account in the Sports & Events industry

Day-to-day management accounting operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis

Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and management reports

Conducting variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to aid in decision-making

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Managing relationships and interactions with third-party vendors, suppliers, and clients.

Utilising Xero software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Filing of VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.

Preparing and filing confirmation statements.

Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with auditors during the audit process

Staying updated with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.

Occasional travel

Job requirements – Management Accountant

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting in the professional environment

Part-Qualified with at least some accounting exams complete (ACCA preferred; study support will be offered to complete qualification

Proven experience with all management accounting responsibilities

Proficiency in using Xero software is highly desirable

Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude; confident working independently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with colleagues and external parties

You must have the right to work in the UK
