Job Title: Capital Grants Accountant
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary
Rate of pay: £22.03 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duties include (but are not limited to):
To prepare financial reports to support the capital claims process.
To co-ordinate the preparation of all claims for external funding relating to the capital element of the Belfast Agenda.
To provide timely and accurate management information on all income and grants associated with the delivery of the Belfast Agenda.
To create, implement and monitor processes and procedures around all external funding for the Belfast Agenda.
To offer professional judgement and technical financial knowledge on financial matters and advise on ways of improving business performance in the department.
To maintain appropriate financial recording systems and interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms:
be a qualified accountant and a full current member of a relevant professional body, for example, Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA); Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) or equivalent; and
be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least one year’s relevant experience, in a large and complex organisation, in each of the following three areas;
a) preparing, analysing, coordinating and presenting relevant information for the management of capital and revenue projects.
b) providing financial project information and advice to senior managers and key stakeholders; and
c) developing systems to assist in the production, analysis, and presentation of financial, project and performance information.
