Our client seeks a Tax Advisor to join their team.

Role Profile:

A career in the Tax Compliance Services practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever-changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

The team helps clients with compliance across all taxes, statutory accounting and complex tax reporting. You’ll focus on bookkeeping and monthly reporting, drafting, auditing and filing of local statutory financial statements, and transaction processing.

The growing Tax Team has a new and exciting opportunity for a Tax Advisor to help clients meet and manage their tax obligations. The role will suit someone who is working in an accounting or finance position and who wants the opportunity to specialise in tax.

The successful candidate will work and learn alongside existing, on island, Tax Advisors to liaise with a broad range of local and international corporate and private clients. The role involves preparing and submitting tax returns as well as providing written tax advice work. You will also keep clients updated on the latest industry developments, ensuring they stay ahead of changes.

From day one, you’ll have direct involvement with clients and be an integral part of making a positive difference in the local and global community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Isle of Man and UK tax returns
  • Carrying out technical research on specific matters
  • Assisting with the preparation of written tax advice
  • Liaising with the tax authorities on client related matters
  • Staying up-to-date with tax developments via internal and external sources
  • Working with compliance team to manage risk in the provision of services to clients
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • For this role, we’re looking for someone who will bring energy and enthusiasm, as well as attention to detail in delivering quality solutions for clients.
  • Educated to a minimum of A-Level standard with a good academic background
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and also thrive in a team
  • Some office experience, ideally in accounting, finance or tax, but this is not essential
  • Ability to take initiative and be able to prioritise your workload

You may already be in a tax position, or perhaps a qualified or part-qualified accountant with a real interest in this area. You must be happy working with multiple clients and holding client relationships. These roles require multi tasking. The fun part is that there is lots of variety and a great team to work with and learn from!

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
