REPORTING TO: General Managers
Group Sales & Marketing Manager – Dalata Hotel Group
Scope of Position
In this dynamic and challenging role, the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for devising the sales strategy through leadership to maximise the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets to include bedrooms, meeting rooms, bar & restaurant as relevant as revenue channels for hotels.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing functions in hotels to ensure maximum revenue & profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service
Executive quarterly activity plans to create focus for the teams and adapt activity to support business needs of hotels
Plan & implement annual local expenditure with sales & marketing teams focussing on overall business
Develop and nurture relationships with key national & global clients through ongoing account management
Strategic approach for key segments of local & global corporate to examine hotel positioning and suitable to client needs
Perform day to day sales activity including face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade events, client entertainment and overseas sales trips. Client entertaining/site inspections may require evening & weekend hours.
Input to hotel pricing strategies and forecasting with General Managers and Revenue Managers
Utilisation of Alkimii CRM for logging all sales activity & measurement of KPI’s
Report monthly on account performance to General Manager and Central Office
Manage hotels advertising & promotional campaigns in conjunction with the hotel teams through relevant marketing channels
To protect and promote the image of Clayton Hotel brands at all times
Ensure assistance and support to F&B teams with necessary sales & marketing activity
Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity
To be fully aware of the main market developments and other factors that would influence business or create favourable market conditions.
