Its headquarters is in Clara, Co. Offaly, Ireland with 2 Production Facilities in UK which are Wilker UK Limited in Sandbach, Cheshire and AJ Engineering Services Limited in Openshaw, Manchester

Job Description

Wilker Group now seeks a full time Financial Accountant based in Sandbach with responsibility for both Wilker UK and AJ Engineering

In this role, you will report to the Group Head of Finance. This role will also include interaction with other departments such as Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, etc. and external stakeholders such as our business partners, suppliers, customs agents, local customs and tax authorities, banks and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities of the role are:

Preparation of the quarterly management accounts.

Coordinates the monthly close process, including but not limited to journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, control account reconciliations etc.

Manages and assists the annual external audit processes.

Backup to Payroll.

Credit Control.

Manages and assists with the Accounts Payable processes.

Manages all relevant accounting processes and systems and ensure all processes are properly documented.

Manage the customs processes within the company to include preparing all pre-customs paperwork for the company’s truck movements.

Preparation of the Production Vehicle Hourly Efficiency Reports as part of overall job costing

Liaison with Insurance brokers, legal providers and other professional bodies

Responsible for management of commercial function which is responsible for all tendering activity

Skills and Qualifications:

Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Minimum 2-3 years post-qualified experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong technical accounting skills.

Knowledge of Inward Processing / Outward Processing as it relates to post Brexit movement of goods acroos borders of UK to Ireland , EU and beyond

In-depth Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required, knowledge of Dimensions and Sage 50 preferred.

Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.

Strong initiative to meet deadlines consistently in an accounting function responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting monthly.

Prior supervisory experience or project management experience a plus.

Focused on continuous improvement, learning, and developing new skills.

High level of integrity and reliability.

Licence/Certification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (required)

Salary: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
