About the team:
We are looking for a dynamic finance professional with a proven track record to join us as Finance Manager, with a focus on projects and programs. You will be experienced with driving change at pace whilst staying agile.

This is an exciting time to join the OSB Group as we modernise our systems and processes and you will have significant exposure to these changes.

This newly created role will be instrumental in increasing awareness and financial control in change, giving a great opportunity to develop reports and content for finance and non finance managers at a variety of levels.

What you will be doing:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide financial support and guidance to a number of our strategic change programmes and using financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering to accurately estimate and report on spend. The role holder with partner with the business, interacting with varying levels of stakeholders to increase awareness and financial control in change, giving a great opportunity to develop reports and content for finance and non-finance managers at a variety of levels.

Your responsibilities will include…

Financial Analysis

Timely and accurate delivery of project reporting requirements including budgets, rolling forecasts, variance analysis on a cash and accounting adjusted basis

Manage the day-to-day financial performance of the projects

Monitor the financial progress of projects, setting up project codes and maintaining project trackers

Be responsible for financial reporting of a large cost centre and a major programme with significant budget and complexity

Perform cost benefit analysis and investment appraisals for projects

Ensure cost is captured at the right project codes and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

Stakeholder Management

Take ownership of the finances of a portfolio of projects, providing analysis and guidance to the project teams

Collaborate with the project managers to build project budgets and forecasts

Establish and managing relationships with key project stakeholders

Process improvement

Review current processes for project management accounts preparation and establish better ways of working if applicable

Use technical knowledge to identify areas for improvement where these may be required; design and implement solutions

Other

In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £55,000 – £65,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15%

Could you be the one?:
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

Previous experience in a finance team working across multiple cost centres with exposure to senior management is essential

Project accounting experience essential

Senior stakeholder management experience essential

Previous experience managing the budgets of large cost centres and major programmes is essential

Advanced Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting knowledge is essential

Detailed knowledge of IT Finance is essential

Sound knowledge on IT expenses (Infrastructure, Services, Projects etc.) is essential

Costing knowledge essential

Knowledge of international accounting standards and their application is essential

Strong knowledge of excel/financial modelling is essential

Advanced skills in respect of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting are essential

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential

Excellent organisation skills are essential

Strong interpersonal skills are essential

Ability to work as part of a team is essential
