SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

37.5 hours per week

Starting salary of Fixed Point SCP34 £43,076

BASED AT CARITAS HOUSE, MANCHESTER M4 4FA

(currently looking for an alternative location in central Manchester/Salford area)

We require a Senior Finance Manager to be responsible for all aspects of financial management for Caritas ensuring an efficient and effective service in accordance with our mission and values.

In collaboration with others, you will support strategic financial planning and budgetary control, including the development and maintenance of a comprehensive budget model covering income and expenditure, balance sheet and cash forecasts. As Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure that Caritas complies with legal requirements in respect of all accounting processes, internal control framework, Charity Commission, Companies House, HMRC, pension regulations and implements best practice across Caritas.

You will develop and update accounting systems to ensure appropriate individuals have access to relevant information to support financial forecasting, planning and awareness about financial matters. Providing clear financial information and monthly reports to support budget holders to monitor budgets as necessary to ensure achievement of Caritas’ objectives.

You will lead, manage and develop the finance team as well as improve communication and awareness about financial matters across Caritas.

We require the post holder to be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified) with significant post qualification experience. Knowledge of Charity accounting regulations and financial modelling and reporting is essential.
