Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Leeds City Centre/ Manchester

Our client within professional services is seeking an International Tax Manager to join their finance team. The tax manager will play a critical role in ensuring the companies non-UK tax compliance matters are managed effectively and in accordance with the latest tax regulations. Responsibilities:

As the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of non-UK tax compliance matters, including:

· Non-UK Tax Compliance: Prepare and oversee non-UK corporate and partnership tax computations and filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

· International Tax Compliance: Maintain the International Tax compliance calendar, permanent files, territory summaries, and checklists to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.

· Collaboration: Liaise with overseas finance colleagues to coordinate local tax compliance requirements, review draft tax computations, propose tax payments, and facilitate tax return submissions.

· Auditor Relations: Act as the primary contact with the firm’s auditors for tax-related matters in the assigned region, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

· Tax Risk Management: Stay informed about developments in tax laws and regulations, proactively identifying and managing tax risks to minimize the company’s exposure.

To succeed in this role as international tax manager, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • An appropriate professional financial qualification is essential – preferably ACA or equivalent (and a tax qualification)
  • Substantial experience in international tax compliance and non-UK tax matters.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and partnership tax computations and filings.
  • Experience within a global, multi-currency partnership environment (legal is desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with international teams and auditors.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of tax software and financial systems is a plus.
