Full job description
A powerhouse within the financial software industry is looking for a Lead Financial Accountant to join their team on an initial 9 month contract – This will be a hybrid role with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote each week.
Responsibilities
- Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
- Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
- Analyses current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Skills / Experience Required
- Strong technical (US GAAP or IFRS) and financial accounting expertise.
- Month end close experience (Journals and reconciliations).
- Compliance filing experience (Financial statement preparation, VAT, Corporate tax).
- Strong communication, presenting and excel skills.
- Large accounting software package expertise desirable (Oracle financials preferred).
- Post Audit experience in industry
- Professional Accounting designation required.
- Trained at, or coming from, a Big 4/Top 10 Accounting firm.
