Are you passionate about the NHS? Do you have significant experience working as a Personal Assistant to Executives? If yes, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and focused person to join the Clinical Support Directorate and Acute Care Pathway providing a full range of high-level operational and organisational support to the Theatre Management Team.

You will enjoy thriving in a challenging and fast-paced environment, and relish the opportunity to be creative, proactive and thorough in your approach. An excellent team player, skilled communicator, flexible, focused, resilient and able to build effective, professional relationships and manage conflicting priorities successfully.

In return, you will receive a warm welcome from a passionate team who pride ourselves in delivering excellence in patient care and experience. We will provide you with resources to develop and progress a long-term career as well as flexibility, continual professional development and a wide range of wellbeing and support.

The team supports flexible working, with a mixture of on-site and home working. The primary base for this role is Main Theatres at the Queen’s Medical Centre campus, with travel between the Trust campuses, as the need arises.

Main duties of the job

As a crucial member of the Acute Care Pathway you will plan and organise activities to ensure the Theatre Management is able to fulfil their responsibilities to divisional senior management meetings and other aspects of their portfolio, both internal and external to the Trust.

Your duties will also include but not limited to: complex diary management, filtering emails and signposting as appropriate, responding to telephone enquiries, highly skilled minute taking, meeting organisation and preparation, dealing with complaints and managing a range of projects that will require formulation and adjustment to plans and priorities.

Being organised, having the ability to multitask, adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to suit the variable and developing workload of working in a busy theatre department, having discretion and integrity, the ability to work autonomously under pressure and an excellent communicator who is confident and comfortable in dealing with people at all levels is essential.
