Job description
The role will include various accounting duties with the aim to develop and have more responsibility during your apprenticeship. The role will include some of the following areas:
- Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering date into accounting software and databases.
- Bank reconciliations
- Budgeting & cash flow management
- Creating reports and monitoring KPI’s
- Filing hard copies.
- Preparing financial statements showing business admin and expenditure.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and identifying errors.
- Recording any inconsistencies to help reconcile inaccuracies.
- Preparing employees’ wages.
- Helping the accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.
Skills Expected
- Somebody who is a good verbal communicator who has a polite, clear and professional telephone manner.
- Must have a good level of literacy skills.
- A good eye for details and strong concentration.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Packages.
- Required to work to deadlines, with good time management.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Confident in using email and the internet.
- The successful candidate will be organised.

ANNUAL Wage*
Wage £4.81 per hour.
Bonus scheme monthly and accelerated pay scheme 1 pound pay rise per hour after 12 weeks and another 1 pound after 32 weeks and 2 x discretionary 1 pound pay rises over the course of the first 12 months.
Working Week
8:30 – 5:30am Mon/Tues
8:30 – 5:00 Wed/Thurs
Friday 8:30 – 4:30
Alternate Saturdays 4 hours flexible working.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £5.25-£9.25 per hour
