Full job description

Job Purpose

Supervising the credit control across the French region and providing cover where necessary for other European countries. Responsibility for managing the debts of the business, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the credit control process from start to finish for the Company to ensure timely payments from customers are made
  • Ensure accuracy of all invoices and credits posted to the Company, and verify the accuracy of the balances on the sales ledger
  • Resolve any queries with customers and providing any copy invoices where requested
  • Liaison with internal sales teams where required
  • Monitor debtor balances and negotiate payment plans with customers where appropriate
  • Daily posting of cash, SEPA, cheque receipt entries to the correct customer account
  • Having ownership of the third party French debt collection platform in managing debts that have been passed down a formal debt collection route
  • Produce monthly reports of outstanding debt with accurate commentary and
  • Identify and implement improvements with the debt collection process.

General responsibilities

  • Respond to purchase and sales ledger queries.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers and suppliers;
  • Contribution towards improvement in procedures and systems;
  • Provide cover for team
  • Ad hoc assignments as required

Qualifications and experience

Skills and abilities

Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills in English and French

Strong attention to detail, prioritisation and organisational skills

Experience

Experience in an accounting environment, specifically in a credit control team dealing with customers under legal redress

Knowledge

Proficient with MS Office packages, specifically Excel and Word is a must.

Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central ideal but not essential.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
