- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and Trust administrative support posts to ensure the delivery of a professional service focused on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Delivery of a professional service focused on achieving a high level of accuracy and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Plan and organise own work schedule and that of the Finance Analysts to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Act as supervisor to the finance analysts, this will involve o Providing guidance as required to support the professional development of the team • Having oversight of the work undertaken by the analysts ensuring it is both timely and accurate.
- Appraise and develop the skills and competencies of the staff through regular 1:1’s, performance reviews and training and development activities.
- Agree and set annual budgets in consultation with managers and budget holders and with guidance from Head of Internal Reporting and Internal Reporting Accountants, taking care to adhere to all Trust policies and strategies.
- Maintain records of budget changes and profiles of expected expenditure on both excel files and the general ledger system regularly evidencing that both systems are in balance.
- Analyse budget variances, monitor trends and ensure issues are escalated as appropriate.

The Senior Finance Analyst will have a crucial role to play in providing a flexible and comprehensive service for the Trust’s Internal Reporting function. In particular they will supervise the Finance Analysts to ensure they continue to provide a wide range of accounting and budgetary support across all areas of the Trust’s operations. The role will also contribute to setting annual budgets, monitoring performance against financial plans through detailed analytical review, investigation of variances and escalation of areas of concern.
