Band 4 Healthcare Assistant at Paterson Health and Social Care

Paterson Health and Social Care are looking to recruit an experienced Healthcare Assistant, for a hospital in the Oxford area, which provides mental health services for children and adults.

What skills and experience are we looking for in candidates?

• Minimum 12 months care experience working with an agency or 6 months in a permanent role
• Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour
• Caring and compassionate approach to all
• Dedicated, honest and reliable
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report any changes in patients’ behavior or health conditions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patients’ interactions and progress
• Assist with daily tasks such as personal care and meal preparation
• Liaise with and report back to healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Monitor patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse readings and recording weight
• Promote independence and encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities
