We are currently based in Tamworth whilst our Head Office in Atherstone gets a makeover, but the plan is to move back once the building is fully geared up to cope with our growth.

As a Sales development Assistant, you will play a significant role in enhancing our existing propositions, such as our Click & Collect service, to drive increased sales opportunities for us within the UK and Ireland.
You will be responsible for analysing the performance of the current proposition, and looking for ways to improve key performance metrics. The team you will be part of will be continuously innovating and working to enhance our existing services as much as possible, to give our customers a great experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who has worked previously worked in the retail industry. Any candidate must be able to demonstrate a passion for customer needs, and how to meet them with efficient and commercial solutions.

Your New Role
Support the department by researching and identifying new ways of reaching existing customer as well as new business opportunities – including growth areas, new trends, and customers.
Understand the needs of Aldi customers and respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these using our existing propositions by understanding Aldi’s customer offering and seeking ways to improve them.
Work with the Marketing department to improve merchandising strategies.
Track progress towards key performance metric goals
Prepare and edit internal presentations
Provide regular reports on sales activites and results to management.
Interact with various business units as required for specific projects e.g. Marketing and Buying
Monitor and analyse competitor activity to recognise and report on important events and trends
About You
Self-motivated and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment
A drive to exceed existing business targets
Ability to clearly communicate (both verbal and written)
The ability to analyse financial figures and business performance
Displays flexibility and determination when working on tasks
Enquiring mind – asks why and demands the best for our customers
Good organisational and communication skills
Technically minded but business driven
Logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail
Experience in working for an online retailer in a sales development / merchandising role
Competitor analysis skills
What you’ll get in Return
Starting salary from £34,690 rising to £40,510
Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
