John Pye is the UK’s largest auction house network, offering the biggest volume and widest variety of stock and assets to the secondary market. Our family-owned business has been in operation for more than 50 years in the UK and 2022 has seen our first venture into Mainland Europe with the opening of our site in Spain. Our workforce currently stands at circa 700 employees and continued growth plans are afoot.
We have an exciting new opportunity for someone wishing to join our vibrant team. The business is continuing to grow, and we are looking to bring the right person on board to support the department with Sales and Account Management. The role is very fast paced, demanding, and will entail lots of travelling to trade shows, client meetings, JPS sites etc, but the role is also very rewarding and could lead to further opportunities within the business.
This role will require a lot of international travel to provide BD project support for the company’s international auction activities. Travel will also be required to prospect and client meetings across the UK and possibly overseas from time-to- time, accompanying Directors and/or Management.
To support the Business Development Department with Client Account Management & Sales
General Duties
· Support the Business Development Department which will cover but not be limited to:
· Helping to initiate, structure, develop and deliver the John Pye Business Development (BD) Sales & Marketing Strategy
· Support the progress of the Strategy on a monthly and quarterly basis in line with qualitative and quantifiable objectives in accordance with JPS systems, in line with JPS monthly and year end P&L targets, supplying KPI client account data
· Research, identify, and approach potential new vendors and to aid with the overall Business Development strategy of all JPS Departments.
· Effectively support commercial risk management of business development
Core Duties
· Support the Business Development undertakings which will cover but not be limited to the following high-level core activities:

1. Client Account Management
· Upon instruction take effective management of designated client accounts, mainly within but not limited to JPS Retail Division
· Take ownership of development of designated client account data analytics and KPIs
· identify and develop key areas of continuous improvement to cement designated client accounts for business development
· Attend client account review and planning meetings to support BD strategy
· Build national client account scalable reporting structure
2. Client Account Reporting & Development
· Deliver effective reporting to designated JPS Retail account clients, in line with JPS house style and systems
· Initiate frequent meetings with designated clients to review performance and identify new areas of opportunity
· Furthermore, help to develop the integration of both systems for greater operational tracking of activity and updates
3. New Business Targeting & Development
1. Follow up on potential business leads generated by open rates from campaigns
2. Devise and co-ordinate existing & new business email campaigns to develop brand, service & market awareness
3. After each email campaign, subsequently support the follow up of inbound enquiries related to your designated market sectors
4. Follow up with securing appointments, pitching and conversions of prospects to new clients

· Help to identify, organise, and attend trade shows and other business prospecting events
