Full job description
Head of Financial Management (Projects), Interim professional.
An interim with extensive and successful experience in delivering business performance improvements is required for a well-regarded business, who are a market leader in their field.
With a fantastic reputation for their work environment to include heavily investing in the development of their teams throughout. This position offers the successful applicant leadership and autonomy to deliver financial management improvement projects to include process and system recommendations and updates, as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic leadership of all projects, with a key focus on performance improvements in budgeting, forecasting and MI reporting.
- Management of a finance team and playing a key role in their own development and assigned duties.
- Implementing new processes and building strong relationships with operational managers for improved commercials.
- Strategic advisor to the business leadership team and providing commercial insight for the board to drive the business performance forwards.
- Pioneering technological enhancements that sharpen business process and improve the data for all reporting.
The ideal candidate overview:
A qualified accountant with a track record of delivery in large organisations to include the engineering sector.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the organisation substantially in all areas.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems).
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to build and motivate a high-performing finance team.
