Technical Account Manager

Milton Keynes

We’re currently recruiting for a Technical Account Manager to manage the day-to-day technical relationship with customers by successfully creating, owning, and driving plans that enhance quality, food safety and reputational standing.

With a strong understanding of food safety, and a proven track record of leading and influencing change processes, the successful candidate will work closely with the NPD and Commercial teams to support new products, customers, and recipes ensuring a collaborative approach.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Generate and report KPIs; initiate corrective actions plans where required.
  • Facilitate customer visits and key point of contact for onboarding & maintenance customer Audits.
  • Attend customer meetings, panels and QIP sessions to ensure all technical information is provided in an effective manner.
  • Governance of customer complaints.
  • Oversee customer quality standards
  • Understand and communicate individual customer raw material standards to stakeholders
  • Liaise with central purchasing/technical/supplier teams to ensure quality targets are met/ required customer standards are captured
  • Authenticate portal management – supply chain/self-audit questionnaires
  • Any other task as reasonably requested
  • Travel as required

Person Specification:

  • Food Science degree/relevant Batchelors degree/or equivalent
  • Extensive Food Industry experience in chilled foods/FMCG sector with broad customer facing experience
  • Knowledge of fresh meat supply chains advantageous
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of food safety within a chilled ready to eat high risk chilled manufacturing environment.
  • A good understanding of listeria and allergen management.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft packages; with a particular focus on Excel, PowerBi
  • Experience of working in a Senior QA or Compliance role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
