Based in the heart of Maida Vale close to the historic BBC Radio studios, Beachcroft House is a new purpose-built home fitted complete with modern furnishings. Opened in September 2020 Beachcroft House is a block-bed contract home, dedicated to supporting the Westminster Council for up to 84 older people with physical disabilities, frailty and/or living with dementia.
We are looking for a part time 20 hour Activity Coordinator to join our team. If you have experience and want to share our values and delivering our aim by:

Being responsive and showing compassion to the individual needs of all.
Providing residents and staff with a warm, friendly, healthy, and safe environment to live and work.
Establishing a person-centred approach to care.
Building the best team by encouraging training and self-development of all.
What does the role involve?
To build friendship with our residents that help them adjust to life in a care home.
Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner.
Maintain good communication levels with Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives to ensure smooth operation of role and high levels of co-operation.
Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Agree the type and quantity of record keeping with the manager on a monthly basis.
Maintain client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times
Plan daytime and evening time activities.
Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility and creating a monthly planner.
Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes being aware of the residents hobbies and interests and assisting them to pursue these by creating resident profiles.
Work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all staff, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Home and in consideration of its residents.
