We are partnering with a Biotech organisation with high profile investment, that due to the rapid growth of the business has recognised the need for a Finance Director with Biotech/Life Sciences experience.

You will join at this critical stage of the company’s development to implement the finance strategy. As a strategic business partner this role will be a catalyst for change and be a creative and constructive disruptor to business thinking and approach.

You will have the opportunity to shape and lead the Finance activities and associated practices for an exciting expanding business, but also to partner with, coach and enhance the leadership of the business.

Responsibilities include;

Own and guide the company’s short- and long-term financial plans, to make, together with the Senior Leadership Team, actionable recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors

Maintain and strengthen operational and financial controls and compliance, as well as supporting business risk management

Regularly update enterprise valuation

Prepare high level financial modelling, budgeting and forecastingAdvise on key financial considerations and terms for commercial deals

Crystallise key income and cost drivers, and create ROI frameworks to ensure we’re allocating and spending funds effectively

Managing & developing the finance team

What you’ll bring;

A fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with senior level experience

Strong business partnering and c-suite level engagement

Experience working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

Experience in start-up/early-stage VC funded business

Strong financial systems experience

Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation delivering high quality output to tight deadlines and in a constantly changing and growing business environment

M&A or fundraising experience beneficial but not essential
