Learning Support Assistant – Secondary

Pay Grade: £90 dependent on experience

Location: Barnet, North London

Hours Weeks: 36 Hours per Week – Term Time Only

Job Purpose:
Provide specialist support to students with additional needs, fostering their physical, emotional, and educational development within a safe environment.

Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to plan, organise, support, and lead teaching and learning activities for individuals or small groups.

Establish supportive relationships with students and parents to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home.

Implement pre-determined educational activities and work programs, ensuring adherence to specific guidelines and promoting independent learning.

Encourage acceptance and inclusion of students with special needs to enhance their achievement and overall development.

Undertake activities with individuals and groups of students to facilitate their physical, emotional, and educational development, collaborating with the Inclusion department, teachers, and educational professionals.

Collaborate with the Inclusion department and other staff to ensure individual education plans align with students’ needs and set subject-specific targets.
