Care Assistant

Duties:
– Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities
– Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
– Administer medication and assist with medical treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
– Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
– Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry
– Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
– Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
– Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare professionals

Requirements:
– NVQ or diploma in health and social care or be willing do do one
– Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
– Compassionate and patient demeanor
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work independently and follow instructions
– Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes or care facilities
– Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

– Excellent time keeping is essential
