Job Title: Financial and Accounts Specialist

Position Overview:

As a Financial and Accounts Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial data, ensuring compliance, and providing essential input to our management and external accounts team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounts payable, payroll, and tax returns, with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and enter all data into the Dext system for accounts payable and purchase ledger.

Implement and manage payslips and payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Prepare and input data for VAT returns through Xero software.

Handle Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns, monitor and set up CIS, and ensure timely issuance of statements.

Prepare and send out remittances and statements to relevant stakeholders.

Record and input expenses, ensuring timely issuance of expense reports.

Update, maintain, and manage the Project Report, an internal Excel document that tracks ongoing projects.

Assist and provide necessary financial reports to Directors and liaise with the external company accounts team for regular updates and reviews.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounts payable, payroll, and VAT returns.

Familiarity with Dext, Xero, and Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is a plus.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
