Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting department, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and contributing to their mission of sustainable construction and conservation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Reconcile financial records and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify, process, and record invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and budgets.
  • Monitor and maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Support the Finance Manager in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as required.
  • Handle vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role within the construction industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
