Join Our Team as a Pastoral and Wellbeing Leader

Position: Pastoral and Wellbeing Leader

Location: Greenwich, London

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full-Time

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Key Responsibilities: As a Pastoral and Wellbeing Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the emotional and social well-being of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

Student Support: Providing guidance, counselling, and support to students who may be experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Mentoring: Offering mentorship and coaching to students to help them achieve their personal and academic goals.

Crisis Intervention: Responding to and managing critical incidents or emergencies involving students, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to coordinate support plans and interventions for students.

Wellness Programs: Developing and implementing well-being programs, workshops, and initiatives to promote a positive school environment.

Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of student interactions, progress, and well-being assessments.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.

DBS Check: A current DBS check on the update service is essential.

Empathy and Compassion: A genuine passion for supporting students’ emotional well-being and a compassionate approach to their challenges.

Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic school environment.

Resilience: The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
