About the role

You will provide financial expertise to the Electrolyte division and be the link between the division and the wider finance teams in the UK, Europe and globally. You will administer and manage the accounting systems to produce reliable numbers within the corporate and statutory guidelines. Finally, you will produce, analyse and interpret accurate and timely business reports.

Your Accountabilities:
Reporting: Provide meticulous management accounting services to the Electrolyte division, ensuring the production of accurate, timely, and actionable reports. Analyze both commercial and manufacturing performance to drive informed decision-making.

Strategic collaboration: Attend divisional business team meetings to offer precise and reliable financial insights, aiding in sound business decisions that contribute to the division’s success.

Financial planning expertise: planning, coordination, and compilation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans within tight deadlines. Contribute financial and business perspectives to shape the division’s future.

Data consistency: Maintain the consistency and reliability of reports for local management, MCUK, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe, and the Electrolyte Global Business Unit. Be responsive to queries from these stakeholders.

Financial advisory: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Electrolyte division’s MD and GM. Generate ad hoc and routine monthly management reports, commentaries, and financial inputs for management meetings to facilitate sound financial decision-making.

Your Qualifications and Skills:
SAP Proficiency: Extensive experience and a deep understanding of SAP (or similar ERP systems) are essential.

Proven experience in closely collaborating with production and management teams and ability to work harmoniously in a team-oriented environment. Chemical industry experience would be an asset.

ISO Registration Compliance: A key role will be played in ensuring compliance with ISO9001, TS16949, and ISO14001 registrations. Past experience with ISO registration requirements is highly valuable.

Financial Expertise: A qualified accountant (e.g., ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA) with post-qualification experience. Strong Excel skills and the capacity to analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate business performance are vital for success in this role. Additionally, you will be capable of challenging assumptions when necessary.
