What does the job role involve?
· Working with the business owner to provide diary management, arrange meetings and appointments and identify efficient working practices for the benefit of the business
· Getting involved with exciting projects including event organising, assisting with our social media content across LinkedIn, our website and other platforms
· Handling incoming calls, taking messages, email correspondence and creating documentation
· Processing all invoices for the business using the Company’s accounting systems in place, to include data entry, updating records and spreadsheets
· Accurately reconciling financial accounts to Company standards using Xero, including assisting the business owner with credit control and chasing down payments
· Chasing and processing expense claims for the engineering team on a monthly basis
· Be responsible for creating/running a system for ordering office supplies and services, including stationery & equipment, to ensure the smooth and cost-effective operation of the office
· Ordering, issuing and record keeping of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the engineering team to meet health and safety standards.
· Arranging company social events and community/charity-based activities through the calendar year
What you will need:
· Ideally, but not essential, experience working in the construction industry or similar.
· Up to date experience of working across the Microsoft Office suite, including Word & Outlook for diary and email management
- Be skilled at communicating effectively with clients on the telephone and face to face in support of one of our key values, being the provision of excellent customer service
- Demonstrate relevant experience working with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting system on a regular basis
- Work with high attention to detail, when using our accounting systems, data entry and updating records
· Demonstrate relevant experience in credit control and chasing down payments
- Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be skilled in spreadsheet production
- Have a friendly, collaborative outlook, which will be invaluable in establishing and building client relationships
· Be organised, reliable, proactive and show a willingness and enthusiasm to assist others in support our team working ethos and continuing growth of our business
