Job Description

Role Purpose:
Verisk are seeking a motivated and experienced qualified accountant to join us as Financial Reporting Manager, taking ownership of Verisk’s UK and European financial reporting requirements.

Managing a team of two, you will work closely with internal technical accounting and transactional teams to deliver high quality audits and non-audit filings for the regional legal entities.

Successful candidates will have significant experience in UK audit practice and demonstrate strong project management skills and meet milestone deliverables in accordance with agreement project timelines.

Main Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of regional financial reporting requirements for both audit and non-audit legal entities

Work directly with auditors to manage audit relationship and day to day audit activities with the support of your Financial Reporting team

Liaise with internal stakeholder in regard to audit progress and provide regular updates to management and company directors.

Review work in Financial Reporting Accountant and provide guidance/training to assist their development

Proactively research technical accounting topics under FRS 102 & IFRS and work with the Verisk Technical Accounting team to assess and quantify impact on local reporting.

Look for opportunities to create financial reporting efficiencies

Qualifications

CA/ACA qualified or similar

2–3 years PQE with significant audit experience

Detailed knowledge of FRS 102 & IFRS, including experience in accounting for M&A activity.

Knowledge of US GAAP, beneficial but not essential
