As a skilled Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for a number of tasks such as communicating with clients, preparing quarterly VAT returns, preparing year-end accounts, and perform general bookkeeping duties.
In this role, you can expect to:
Deliver a structured service to customers
Take a customer ‘lead’ through a selling process to company set-up
Register the company for all relevant taxes
Secure company information from clients each quarter to prepare quarterly management accounts
Prepare statutory year-ends without error within three months of the company year ends
Prepare VAT returns
Perform general bookkeeping duties
The working hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
To apply for this job, you will need to be either AAT-qualified, ACCA part-qualified. an Accounting and Finance graduate or have worked in an Accountant position previously. Strong maths skills are essential to this position so high grade GCSE results in Mathematics is preferred.
In addition, you should have a bias towards customer service and be detail-oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills are also essential.
