Full job description
Key duties and responsibilities
Regulatory Returns
Produce and submit regulatory returns including but not limited to terrorism, acquisition costs, tax, coverage and territory data requests, electronic placing and performance data
Liaise with the BI and Exposure Management teams to obtain the data required
Complete data cleansing/transformation and format into return forms/templates
Seek sign off from appropriate stakeholders
Submit returns according to deadlines
Act as main point of contact for Lloyd’s and other regulators in respect of regulatory returns
Underwriting Support
Assist underwriting teams with queries and data issues including policy entry, peer review and electronic placing
Deliver training to users on core systems
Oversee the month end process to ensure all activities are completed and reported upon including policy entry, LPSOs, peer review, referrals and exception reporting
Assist with management of shared Outlook inboxes – responding, resolving issues and referring to others as appropriate
Reporting & Operational Requirements:
Assist in providing accurate management information to underwriting teams, senior management and committees
Liaise with underwriting teams and third party partners to improve data quality
Management of data tables, e.g. Broker, deductions and trade codes
Assist in producing ad hoc reports, presentations and other team literature
Provide Reviewers and Auditors with data to aid selection of policy samples, supply risk information and assist with action tracking and monitoring.
Projects
Participate in cross-team projects including system development and process enhancement
Work with Data Working Group on data projects
Relationship Management:
Provide a professional service to underwriters and external suppliers in person, in writing, by email and telephone
Maintain and develop key relationships and respond to communication in a timely fashion
Prepare for, chair and minute team meetings.
General Requirements:
Identify and report problems within the underwriting system and assist with solution design
Assist with User Acceptance Testing of systems
Interact with all Scor teams i.e. exposure management, claims, finance and compliance on matters affecting or related to accounts within the portfolio
Help maintain Scor minimum standards by assisting underwriting teams and third parties in achieving their service/quality levels and targets
Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by Syndicate staff
Comply with Scor policies, procedures and regulations relevant to your role
Manage training needs through attendance of relevant training and market presentations (where relevant to your role)
Carry out additional responsibilities as defined through your objectives
Uphold the principal of Treating Customers Fairly.

Experience
Essential
Experience in a Lloyd’s syndicate and familiar with underwriting systems
Experience of Lloyd’s and regulatory returns
Understanding of Market Reform Contract and able to identify key data for analysis
MS Office applications (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and manipulating and presenting data
Desirable
An understanding of tax requirements and/or familiarity with Lloyd’s Crystal
