Job description

My client is a market leading training business in the transport and logistics sector.

They offer training across the whole of the UK to large corporate clients.

Due to impressive growth, they are now looking for a dedicated and personable account manager to maintain our clients’ accounts and serve as the main point of contact whilst also seeking out any additional revenue generating opportunities within the client’s business.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive to provide exceptional customer service.

You should be personable and at ease talking to decision makers and organisers in large blue-chip companies.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in an office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and 2 day’s working from home on Monday and Friday.

Role Responsibilities

· Act as the main point of contact in all matters relating to client concerns and needs.

· Ensure that new training orders from clients are added to our CRM as soon as possible

· Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships

· Use sales acumen to gain referrals to other relevant contacts within the clients’ businesses.

· Maintain accurate client records, and generate reports to deliver to the client when required

· Work with Business Development and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met

· Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients

· Take enquiries and requests from customers and address their needs

· Stay on top of accounts, making sure they’re receiving services that are within their budget and meeting their needs

· Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business

· Generate progress reports to give to clients and higher-ups within the organisation

· Identify up-sell, cross-sell, and ‘renewal’ opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly

Skills and Qualifications

· An undergraduate university degree is preferable but not essential for the right person.

· Professional experience in a sales or customer service role

· Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Good attention to detail and organisational skills

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and receiving positive customer feedback

· Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce

· Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and, to an extent, PowerPoint.

Salary & benefits: £35-37k basic with further commission and annual bonus, medical insurance and career opportunities
