Job Description

The role of the Finance Business Partner/Business Financial Controller is primarily to provide financial guidance and strategic analysis to drive change and execution in the AC UK Trade business. This position manages all financial channel activities including the monthly closing cycle, reporting, building weekly/monthly estimates and the development of the annual plan.

This position works closely with senior management including the General Manager, Retail Director, Sales Controllers and several functional managers.

Principal Accountabilities

Support the Trade business commercial and marketing teams

Challenge the business by delivering insightful analysis of the numbers and simulation of options available

Responsible for all reporting for Trade business across AC UK as well as the calculations of key metrics

Understand the commercial competitive environment and influence the decisions making process

Analyse, interpret and communicate monthly financial results including deviation analysis, explanation of performance drivers/opportunities and key metric reporting

Monthly closing process – coordinate activities to ensure results are accurate and explainable

Preparation and presentation of monthly customer P&Ls including overview of account profitability including customer rebate agreements

Works with business to develop Investment Appraisal submissions for all Decorating Centre openings, relocations and refurbishments

Provide any ad hoc analysis as required by sales management of various levels. This includes customer profitability, margin analysis, contract analysis, etc

The Successful Applicant

The successful Finance Business Partner/Business Financial Controller will have the following credentials:

The candidate must hold a relevant degree and a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA / ACA or QBE

Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders

Industry experience working within manufacturing and production/Retail and Distribution would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite for this role

Good knowledge of MS Office, specialist in Excel
