Summary:
One of our Clients is looking for a The Director of Accounting for their Chartered Accountancy Firm specialising in Finance Function Outsourcing in Tunbridge Wells TN4. The company works with big corporations, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, and all other professionals to support them through each stage of the business lifecycle, working through the challenges together.

Job Details as The Director of Accounting:

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Tunbridge Wells TN4
Salary: upto £84,000 per annum

Job Duties and Responsibilities for Director of Accounting:

Leadership: Lead the practice operations and working closely with the teams Group.

Client liaison:

  • To be the point of contact for client liaison as required.
  • Introduce and transition clients to nominated accountant as required.
  • Meeting clients to discuss accounts.
  • Work jointly with India team, recommend financial actions by analysing accounting reports.
  • Advise clients on areas of business improvement.
  • Negotiate the terms of business with clients as required.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential Detect and prevent money laundering.

Account Management:

  • To ensure accurate and timely billing and receipt.
  • Ensure India team is on schedule with invoice raising and client fee payment.
  • Liaise directly with client when necessary.
  • Standardise and update client engagement letters.

Management:

  • Weekly update with the group on Teams calls, monthly meeting in Richmond as required.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Lead UK based accounting / admin staff as required.
  • Manage the office IT systems, security, as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops- reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Business Development

  • Business Development – work with Business Development Director as required to acquire new clients.
  • Meet prospective clients, discuss requirements, and create proposal (with assistance from Directors as required).
  • Extend the value chain by introducing new services to existing clients at all touch points.

Skills/Qualifications:

Accounting, Tax, reporting Skills, time management, supervision/management skills with software skills as SAGE, IRIS, QuickBooks, Word/Excel, accounting, and tax packages.
The individual should have attention to detail, deadline-oriented and keen on research.
