£25,484 per annum, based on a 39 hour working week

We are looking for a resilient and friendly Activity and Engagement Leads to join us at our busy centre in Birchwood, Warrington. This centre offers autism specialist personalised support for young people and adults with autism both within the centre and outside in the wider community, 7 days a week. You will join a team that works in partnership with people who use our services, to enable them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community. You will also have responsibility for ensuring the provision of outreach services to people with autism within the local community.
You will have a ‘can do’ approach and be committed to supporting people in a positive way that enables people to live a fulfilled life. You will demonstrate best practice and be a role model for the team by delivering positive outcomes for the people that we support and your ability to successfully undertake the additional responsibilities of this important role.
We are keen to hear from people who are can lead small groups and coach and mentor team members to provide learning opportunities for people supported. We are interested in hearing from applicants who may have skill or interest they could share. You will have the flexibility to be innovative, creative and dynamic in the Activity and Engagement role. You will receive ongoing support to ensure your continued professional development and enthusiasm for the role.
An NVQ or Diploma Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or be prepared to work towards is essential and a genuine passion for providing person centered support is key to being successful in the role of an Activity and Engagement Lead. In return, Autism Initiatives will provide you with a full induction and ongoing learning to support. Due to the needs of the service, a full driving licence is desirable.
