Full job description

Our Client is looking for an Accounting Director who will review work compiled by the accounts team, liaise with, and provide financial information to clients from the reports produced. Effectively manage an in-house team and a shared services team based in India. To assist with the growth of the practice through the management of current clients and the acquisition of new clients.

Job Details:

Job Title: Accounting Director
Salary: Upto 84000 Pounds Per Annum
Job Location: Wells TN4

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the practice operations and working closely with the Group teams
  • To be the point of contact for client liaison as required.
  • Introduce and transition clients to nominated SKS group accountant as required.
  • Meeting clients to discuss accounts.
  • Work jointly with India team, recommend financial actions by analysing accounting reports.
  • Advise clients on areas of business improvement.
  • Negotiate the terms of business with clients as required.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Detect and prevent money laundering.
  • To ensure accurate and timely billing and receipt.
  • Ensure India team is on schedule with invoice raising and client fee payment. Liaise directly with client when necessary.
  • Standardise and update client engagement letters.
  • Weekly update with Group on Teams calls, monthly meeting in Richmond as required.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Lead UK based accounting / admin staff as required.
  • Manage the office IT systems, security, as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
  • Extend the value chain by introducing new services to existing clients at all touch points.
  • workshops- reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Accounting, Tax, reporting Skills, time management, supervision/management skills with software skills as SAGE, IRIS, QuickBooks, Word/Excel, accounting, and tax packages.
  • The individual should have attention to detail, deadline-oriented and keen on research.
