About Our Client

My client is a well know housing association. This role is situated in a large, friendly finance team with exposure financial and non financial working colleagues.

Job Description

Deliver balance sheet reconciliations for area of responsibility

Responsible for planning an accurate and efficient month end process. This will include issuing the timetable each month, and the production of required reporting, whilst meeting or exceeding agreed timescales.

Journals are posted and all other tasks are completed to deliver accurate reporting for area of responsibility

Responsible for producing all month end, quarter end, half year, and year end financial reporting

Assist with the annual external audit process to ensure deadlines are met.

Monitor financial controls and processes within area of responsibility and ensure that they are reviewed, complied with, and operate effectively.

The Successful Applicant

Proficiency in financial and management accounting & reporting, including external statutory reporting and audit

Up to date working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102)

Housing Association experience desirable (not essential)

Well-developed communication skills: verbal, written, and in presentations. The ability to sell ideas or benefits and build

persuasive arguments based on data, logic, and the objective merits of solutions

The ability to build and sustain effective professional working relationships within Finance and the wider business environment

A solution-based approach to problem-solving
