Summary:
One of our Clients is looking for a Senior Accountant for their Accountancy Services in London SE16. It is a 21st-century firm of accountants with a 17th-century influence. Established in 2008 with only a single client, the firm now services more than 1,500 clients – mostly through word-of-mouth & testimonials.

Job Details as Senior Accountant:

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: London SE16
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum

The ideal applicant for Senior Accountant should

  • Have minimum 4 years experience within an Accountancy Practice
  • Have good knowledge of IRIS, XERO(Quick books and Sage would also be an advantage
  • Have experience dealing with own client portfolio
  • Be ICAEW / ACCA qualified or Part Qualified
  • Have experience of international accounting and dealing with international clients
  • Have excellent knowledge of Audit and Control system
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Have high level of commitment and flexibility, actively offering assistance to other colleagues and takes ownership for own tasks assigned
  • Have Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to research technical issues when needed, advice clients and attend meetings.
  • Be self motivated and highly professional.

Responsibilities and Tasks Include:

The role will involve preparing management accounts for around 100 – 120 clients as well as;

  • Quarterly PAYE processing
  • Assisting with managing statutory accounts jobs
  • End-of-year payroll filings, P60, Dividend Voucher, and RTI
  • Diligently reviewing work from junior team members and providing constructive feedback
  • Evaluating financial information for management approval
  • Preparation of client VAT returns
  • Creating budgets/forecasts and providing ad hoc information for clients
  • Staying up to date with relevant technical material
  • Direct dealing with clients and answering queries related to accounts and tax
  • Proactive work
  • Investigating accounting irregularities, mistakes
  • Producing regular financial reports, such as budgets or cash flow forecasts
  • Offering advice and suggestions to management that can improve the accounting processes and financial stability of a company
